Origin
Tombola is the traditional Italian game of chance loved by generations and cherished by families during the holidays. The origin dates as far back as four centuries ago in Naples, when gambling was popular among the citizens but was frowned upon by the church. Thus, a new way to play the lottery at home in secret was invented! Even though this game is particularly played during the holidays, it can be enjoyed any time of year. It is truly an Italian classic that anyone can enjoy!

The Game
This version of Tombola is the first mass-market set that pays homage to Italian culture in a respectable manner. It incorporates the essence of traditional Italian filigree with inspiration from classic tile patterns with a classic and timeless approach. It captures the elegance and tradition of this game using hand drawn type and numbers, illustrated icons that correspond with each number's meaning, custom borders and filigree, as well as using traditional tile patterns to differentiate from current offerings. It is played in a similar way as classic bingo games, but each number has a certain meaning and is traditionally read in Italian. To make this accessible to others, both Italian and English translations were included. While one can score a Bingo horizontally, diagonally, and vertically, the only way to win in Tombola is horizontally. Play for money, prizes, or just for fun. There are 5 stages in each game with 5 diverse ways to win.

The Execution
The product’s components and base and lid box construction are adorned with specialty printing processes and features. These include a spot gloss for the title on the lid, custom cut cards, wooden calling tokens, fordable calling board, custom color plastic bingo chips, canvas pull-string bag with custom print, and matte laminate finish to reduce glare and increase durability of storage box.

With custom packaging, components, and printing processes, there is also custom illustration which includes type, numbers, icons, borders, filigree, and also custom pattern.
