Kids can stack up fun pirate pieces like the compass, anchor, jolly roger, cannon, treasure chest, as well as multiple captains and crew members. And no two pieces are the same, so each time it is played is a new adventure! This toy is simple to play, tough to master, providing hours and hours of replay value. It is also an educational toy for kids because they can learn shape recognition, motor skills, imagination development, and problem solving skills.

Product & Packaging Execution

As requested by sales and marketing: they wanted customers to be able to see all the pieces, so a two piece blister was created to house all the pieces and packaging inserts. Every piece is positioned in the blister in a haphazard way to entice and communicate the "balancing" aspect. There are a total of 18 pieces including the ship and two flags made from all-natural wood. Each piece has been thought through carefully by keeping the illustration style consistent. It was decided to use pops of color with more natural browns and keep everything graphic with the use of bold black lines to really set this product apart from other offerings. One thing noted about the old product was there was no diversity among the characters. The new product has a lot more diversity between different captains being represented to including different ethnic groups and races. This new version appeals to both boys and girls and is really fun to play and with everything being custom illustrated, this is a unique world for young minds to explore.
